Rocky brings over 25 years of executive leadership experience across commercial, SBA, and community banking. Throughout his career, he has built and scaled high-performing teams, led successful market expansions, and overseen complex credit portfolios. He has held senior leadership roles at respected institutions including Banc of California, California Bank & Trust, and Comerica Bank, and we’re thrilled to now have him on the FFB Bank team.

Most recently, Rocky stepped into the world of aerospace as Co-Founder and COO of Agora Space Technologies, a Santa Ana–based engineering firm. There, he led operations across engineering, manufacturing, FAA certification, and contract management—helping scale the company to $10 million in revenue within just three years. With this entrepreneurial experience under his belt, Rocky returns to banking with a fresh, strategic perspective and a strong alignment with FFB’s relationship-driven and growth-oriented culture.

At Banc of California, Rocky served as EVP and Head of Business Banking & SBA, where he launched and led a new division serving middle-market clients. He built a multi-regional team across Central and Northern California, ultimately producing over $500 million in loan volume.

At California Bank & Trust, he was SVP and Strategy Manager, where he led statewide efforts to enhance operational efficiency, improve client engagement, and restore profitability. He restructured underperforming markets, built leadership teams, and managed a loan portfolio of $2–$3 billion and $4 billion in deposits.

Earlier in his career at Comerica Bank, Rocky launched and led a de novo Small Business Banking division across Southern California. He opened 17+ branches from San Diego to South LA, turning the region into one of Comerica’s top small business referral markets.

In addition to his banking career, Rocky has held operational leadership roles outside the industry. At Verengo, he managed a 150-associate call center, boosting productivity by 30% and improving retention through strong coaching and performance programs. At Wells Fargo Financial, he rose from Credit Manager to District Manager, overseeing consumer lending teams and consistently exceeding performance targets across Southern California.

Rocky holds a Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Pepperdine University, an MBA from CSU San Marcos, and a BA in Economics from CSU Long Beach.

He’s also deeply involved in the community, serving on the boards of Agora Space Technologies, the Orange County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and the CHOC Hospital Corporate Partnerships Advisory Committee.
